As the weather warms up and we begin dreaming in earnest about eating outside all summer, our thoughts turn to cocktails. And one of the best is the negroni.
Equal parts gin, red vermouth and Campari, it’s an uncomplicated drink that’s also more bitter than sweet (something we love).
This year, we’ve come across a slight variation on it that’s even better than the original. Gin? Of course. But we replace the other two ingredients with Lillet Blanc and Aperol. The result is similar, but with more orange flavour (and colour).
We’ll be enjoying it on warm evenings all summer long.
